Alfred De Breanski Snr. 1852-1928
'Loch Awe, Scotland'
Alfred was a distinguished Landscape artist who became famous for his resplendent veiws of the Welsh and Scottish Highlands, Lochs at sunset
which often exude a golden rosy light. Breanski belonged to the real stamp of those Landscape painters who seized moments of the day. He had
a great passion for the Scottish Highlands and perhaps more than any other artist caught the atmospheric influences of the undulating Landscape.
He made his debut at the Royal Academy in1872 and continued to exhibit there until 1918.
