JC Antiques was established in 1985 by Keith and Jean Ellis. I started dealing in the Antiques business in the late 1960's. In the beginning I dealt from home and at Antique Fairs in Town and Country Furniture, clocks, metalware, objet d'art and paintings. In 2007 we opened a shop in a small market town in West Yorkshire, during that period I expanded my longterm interest in Fine Art and decided to combine more paintings with the furniture. One compliments the other, and to this end we undertook to concentrate on the 3 and 4 day Antiques and Fine Art Fairs throughout the country and have built a reputation for quality, reliability and integrity as well as the assurance that being a long standing member of LAPADA safeguards prospective, new and existing clients in their dealings with the firm. We now trade under the name of Ellis Fine Art, incorporating JC Antiques.
We still give a personal and Insurance valuation service for clients as well as a Restoration service for their treasured Artwork and Furniture.
